Frequently Asked Questions

Do you raise your own goats?
Yes! We pride ourselves in raising our own goats in order to have access to the freshest goat milk possible! What started as a hobby and a way for our family to have access to fresh milk, has turned into a skincare business we're passionate about! Our goats are loved and spoiled on a daily basis!

How do you make your soap?
We make our soap using the "old fashioned" cold process method of soap making. Cold process soap making is a method where oils and butters (fats) are combined with lye (sodium hydroxide) to trigger saponification, creating soap without external heat. This allows natural ingredients like goat milk, honey, and herbs to retain their beneficial properties in the final bar.

How do you color your soap?
Each ingredient we use is chosen with intention. For that reason, we only use natural colorants in our soaps, shampoo bars and sugar scrubs. We regularly use vegetable powders, natural clays, spices, or activated charcoal to create beautiful bars of soap that also benefit or help to improve your skin.

Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?
In short - both. ALL products made with 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils will have the word "essentials" on the label, or say "EO" after the fragrance on our website, so you can easily see which products are made with only essential oils. If there is so much as a drop of fragrance oil in the product, I will NOT put "essentials" on the label.  While we absolutely love using essential oils, we also love the fun fragrances that can really only be achieved with a fragrance oil! I am very selective of where I order my fragrance oils from and they are all pthalate and paraben free. If you have any question on fragrance, please ask before ordering!

Can I order custom soap for a shower or party?
Yes! I love working with people to create the perfect soap for showers, weddings or party favors! Soap makes a really wonderful, consumable gift that hi-lights local products that your guests will actually use and enjoy. I can make custom labels, do special colors, and really do any fragrance I have acccess to. Many people choose to do "mini" or half bars of soap for these events. Minimum quantity is 12 full bars or 24 "mini" bars at wholesale pricing. Additionally, I need a minimum of 5 weeks prior to the event for the soap to be made and cured. Please contact me for more information.
